Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. Will my £5 or $8 or €7 per month really make much of a difference?A. Yes - a massive difference. Your money will save lives and give people living in extreme poverty the chance to build a better future for themselves and their children. What’s more your membership will encourage others to join and their participation will in turn encourage others to join, and so on, etc. You are the key to enabling perhaps hundreds or even thousands of others to join - so it is essential to participate if you can – no matter how small your financial contribution. This is part of your legacy. Q. Can I give more than £5 or $8 or €7 per month?A. Yes. Some may choose to give £10, others give $15 and some €10 per month. Please give whatever you are comfortable with. You can change the amount that you give at any time - up or down. Q. Can I join up straight from the website?A. Yes. Just click on the join now link Q. What about administration costs?A. Part of your Legacy is a registered charity. What's special though is that we aim to give 100% of our members' contributions directly to projects. This is possible because our website and office costs are sponsored separately. (If you wish to assist with this please let us know.) Our staff costs are also sponsored and many contribute their time and expertise on a voluntary basis. Thank you! Our credit card processing fees, bank charges and audit costs as a registered charity are met from the 'gift aid' contributions we recoup from Governments. Q. Those I’ve spoken to are really enthused - can I ask more than 5 people?A. Yes. Many people have contacted family, friends and work colleagues. Some have already encouraged their whole organisation to join! Q. Can I invite people at any time?A. Yes. Just go to your member's page and click the link. This ensures that when they join they are included in your Legacy total - number of people and total amount. Q. How do people get added to my Legacy team?A. Simple really. When you send an email from your member's page it has a 'tag' which identifies it to you. Our Legacy software keeps track of your team as it grows across the world. It's not only effective but fun watching it grow! Q. Does it matter where I live?A. No. Part of your legacy is a global initiative – the most important club in the world. Q. What about schools?A. We hope that children and young people will participate, encourage their parents to join, nominate their school and follow the progress of our projects. However, all members must be over 18 - so parents, please help by becoming members. Q. How will I know where my money goes?A. Each month we identify priority project(s) that we will be supporting. You will also be able to search our project database for completed projects and success stories. Q. What about my privacy?A. Your privacy is a major priority for us. We will not disclose your details to any other organisation or person. We protect every member's details and we will never sell, lend or rent these details. Q. Can I stop my membership at any time?A. Yes. You may cancel your membership at any time. Q. Can I make an additional one-off donation in memory of a loved one?A.Yes. Just click on the member's area if you wish to make an additional one-off special payment. Q. Can my organisation be involved also?A. Yes - this is a great way to build a legacy which relates to the core values of your business or organisation. Just nominate your organisation when you join and remind your colleagues to do the same. This is a great way also to involve all staff in corporate social responsibility. . Q. Can my organisation sponsor Part of your Legacy?A. Yes. We need help to maintain our zero target cost base so that all member monies can go directly to projects (either directly or through very effective small charities with low costs). If you can contribute to our marketing effort, help us with publicity or contribute to our operational costs, we would be very grateful. Our organisation supporters are acknowledged in our corporate section. Thank you. All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high, one which sometimes seemed impossible.
